Wreck of the Titanic Memorial Handkerchief

An incredibly delicate and intricate memorial handkerchief, produced days after the Titanic disaster.

This rare and unique artefact was produced for various public memorials across England. Printed by The Palatine Printing Co. of Wigan, and sold for charity, the proceeds were used for the benefit of the widows and orphans of the disaster.

The handkerchief contains a Royal message of condolence from King George V, The Queen, and the Queen Mother, expressing (via Telegram) how horrified they were upon news of the disaster.

Text towards the bottom of the handkerchief commemorates local (Liverpool and Birkinhead ) crew members lost in the Titanic tragedy, including:

Condition: Still retains its original colour, and text remains sharp and easy to read. Small tears to the parchment are present, however.
